An emotionally charged and inspiring one-woman show based on the writings of Mabel Dodge Luhan, the notorious, much-married art patron and symbol of the New Woman in the early 20th century.  Mabel’s life connected important social and intellectual issues as well as artists and writers such as Georgia O’Keefe, D. H. Lawrence and Willa Cather.

Mabel conducts one of her famous “Evenings” with the audience – a wild and humorous exploration of a passionate past, and a call to arms for an invigorated future. Leslie and Mabel speak imaginatively and powerfully to both women and men today.

Reviewer comments: ”Dillen totally embodies the essence of Mabel…Such a complex and varied and rich character.”    “A stellar performance and a wonderful piece of writing.”

Audience responses:  “Mesmerizing.  Captivating.”  “A sheer joy of an evening.” “A wonderful journey into the heart and mind of Mabel.”
