Stories from 9/11

Compassion, Generosity, and Grace - Stories from 9/11

Regina carries us from the streets of Lower Manhattan to the cloud-forest of Costa Rica and back as she shares stories of this extraordinary out-pouring of love. "What I learned from 9/11 is that love is stronger than hate. Of this I am very sure."

Join Regina at Teatro Paraguas in Santa Fe as she shares stories of the best of human impulses in response to the worst. As New Yorkers and the world reached out to neighbors, first responders, and New York City, they created what Stephen Jay Gould called "The Great Asymmetry... little drops of gold within a rainstorm of similar offerings."

Longtime resident of the fabled Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City, Regina Ress is an award winning storyteller, actor, and author with an eye for setting and character and a deep love of life. For over 25 years, she has told stories in the US, Latin America, and Europe in English and Spanish in schools and international festivals, in prison and parks, homeless shelters and the White House. Regina was a witness to the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center and a participant in the response that day and for many months afterward. She has stories.

Sunday, September 11th, 6pm, Teatro Paraguas, 3205 Calle Marie

Tickets are $10. Call 505-424-1601 for reservations.
