Stop That Train Before Penny, or Buster Feels the Spirit

Stop That Train Before Penny, or Buster Feels the Spirit is the second in
a series of Melodramas written and directed by Leslie Joy Coleman and
produced by the Southwest Rural Theatre Project. It is, however, freestanding, and does not require knowledge of the earlier production.

It is set in the early days of railroading, and like all the shows in this series, it is centered around a troupe of travelling players that moves from town-to-town bringing entertainment to people in the Victorian era old West. The antics and anguish typical of classic melodrama makes for a delicious and rollicking evening.

The audience is encouraged to participate by sighing for the Heroine, cheering for the Hero, booing and hissing at the Villain as well as throwing marshmallows (available in the lobby as part of the ticket price).
