Lyrical, evocative, passionate MARIELA IN THE DESERT by Karen Zacarias at Teatro Paraguas. 

Sat. Dec. 6 10-1 and Sun. Dec. 7 5-7

Need 6 actors:

Mariela - 40+ Beautiful, wry, strong woman 

Jose - 45+ Her husband, a famous artist

Oliva - 50 + Jose's pious older sister

Blanca - 21+ Mariela and Jose's talented, vulnerable daughter

Carlos - 12 Son who disappeared

Adam - 35+ Art history professor, Blanca's lover

Play runs Jan. 22-Feb 1

Set in Mexico desert 1951 in a rustic ranch.

All roles compensated. 

Rehearsals begin mid Dec (off for holidays)
