Hansel and Gretel

coming to Teatro Paraguas in November!

Local playwright, Rebecca Morgan, with the help of TPCP's after school theatre students and the local band MELANGE (JoJo and Jeff Tarnoff), has adapted that most classic of lost children tales, Hansel & Gretel, into one 50 minute dramedy with original songs and dances.

This one hour play with music features students from the after-school performing arts classes rotating in the major roles as Hansel, Gretel, Witch Hasa Sweettooth, her minions (Pidgie and Kattie), The Wood Nymph (Chipper), the Genie Innabawtell, and The Mole Troll Twins. The Wicked Stepmother, Hilda, is played by children's theatre favorite, JoJo Sena Tarnoff; the Woodcutter (Father) is played by veteran actor, Argos MacCallum. Our unique children's theatre program guarantees every young actor a Starring Role, and always has!

"HANSEL & GRETEL" comes to TEATRO PARAGUAS, 3205 Calle Marie, Suite B, for the public on Saturday, November 19, at 7:00 PM and Sunday, November 20, at 2:00 PM. Schools may bring their classes to the theatre on school days November 17 & 18.

Tickets are $10.00 per seat general admission, $5.00 students 17 and under. Reservations will be held at the Box Office until 15 minutes before showtime. For reservations/information, call Umbrella Theatre Children's Program voice mail at 471-3140 and leave a message or email
